FinalistsCongratulations to our ten finalists who took to the podium for the 31st First Year Public Speaking Final on Monday May 21st.

All of the girls spoke with confidence & composure, highlighting the skills they had developed during Public Speaking classes throughout the year.  Our adjudicators; Mr Eamon Higgins, Mrs Ethel Lydon & Mrs Mary Browne commended each of the speakers & their lengthy deliberations highlighted just how close the contest was.Judges

Congratulations to Ciara Fallon who was named the 2019 winner & recipient of the Nicola Ward Perpetual Trophy with her speech “Is Money the Root of All Evil”. Ilaria Manenti came 2nd with “It’s Tough Being a Teenager” and Jessica Collins came 3rd with her speech “Proud to be Irish”.
