Congratulations to all of our students who recently received their Junior Certificate results. On Friday, October 4th the majority of the JC class of 2019 made their way to the school from Athlone train station, having just arrived back from their Transition Year outdoor-pursuits trip to Westport, to collect their envelopes. Those who have gone straight into 5th Year eagerly awaited their former classmates’ arrival, in order that proceeding could begin. They excitedly gathered in the Meeting Room to be congratulated by Principal, Mr Casey and Deputy Principals, Ms Beades and Ms Windle, for all their hard work over the previous three years.

Results were released a little later than anticipated this year. However, it was certainly worth the wait, as envelopes were opened and results were scanned.Emma Brody

Congratulations to Emma Brody, who achieved top marks with 9 As and 2 Distinctions, one of only 19 students nationally to do so. Very strong performances were evident throughout the year group in the entire range of subjects. These results are a testament to the strong work ethic from the students themselves, the guidance provided by their dedicated teachers and support from their families. Each student should be very proud of their achievement. Well done to all.
