Yet again maths mania hit the Bower in celebration of Maths Week 2016. Already on Monday, 16 October, the first years were busy with their Mangahigh challenges in advance of their mathematical table quiz which took place on Friday.

Meanwhile, there was stiff competition for the canteen vouchers on offer as prizes for the winners of the daily puzzle posted on the screen in the central area. The NUIG Prism maths competition was held on Thursday after school. There were separate junior and senior sections so all maths enthusiasts were motivated to attend.  Top scorer in the senior section was Emily Grace while Grace Delaney was top junior. The Mangahigh Challenge was ongoing all week so students logged on and completed the challenges set by their teacher. Najat Bashiru, Erifeoluwa Jamgbadi and Ruth Redmond were the top performers all week.
