The arrival of summer sunshine made proceedings all the more enjoyable as a jam-packed schedule of team-based events was laid on by the PE Department. The hockey pitch and back lawns saw class groups work in unison as they attempted to master the teamwork involved in ‘roller runs’ and ‘buddy walkers’. They put their all in to the tug of war as well with the victorious 5th Year team 60202998_1264119857081471_3605654293719285760_nattempting to take down the teachers.

The gym was also a hive of activity as the TY helpers expertly oversaw the multi-sports action of unihoc, basketball and football.

The tunes were banging and the moves were on point in the central area with Just Dance going down a treat. The front lawn was a big hit too with face-painting and thanks to our Parents Association’s generous contribution the giant inflatable slide and gladiator duel.

Match commentary was supplied by Brooke Snow who had some great shouts throughout. Even being out numbered 3:1 and going up against the fancy footwork of Irish International Carla McManus, the teachers took the win on penalties. Thank you to all in the PE Department, their TY helpers and our Parents Association for a great day of activity.
