1st Year Wellbeing Mass

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the parents and guardians who joined 20180927_213554us on the evening of Thursday, Sept 27th for the celebration of our 1st Year Wellbeing mass. It was lovely to have Rev. Fr Mark Bennet back in the Bower to lead us in our celebration. The 1st Years illustrated how well they have bonded, in such a short time, as they sang beautifully together as a choir. It was lovely to gather for refreshments afterwards as students, parents and teachers, to acknowledge our connection as a Bower family.

Whole School Wellbeing Training

The staff were on the other side of the desk on Monday, September 24th as they participated in whole school 20180924_145951wellbeing training. It was lovely to welcome past pupil Hazel Hannon back to the school in her role as Junior Cycle for Teachers Advisor. She delivered an informative and engaging in-service on a whole school approach to Wellbeing. Wellbeing has always been at the core of all that we do in Our Lady’s Bower. However, now as part of the new Junior Cycle students will be experiencing the Wellbeing programme in a more formal way. Through the Wellbeing programme students will be learning how to protect and promote their own wellbeing and that of others. The staff look forward to bringing their newly acquired knowledge and skills into the classroom, to assist our girls in reaching their full potential.
