MosqueForty-four 3rd Year students travelled to the Al-Mustafa Islamic Educational & Cultural Centre Ireland on Tuesday Sept. 11th. The students are studying Islam as part of their Junior Cert Religion course and while at the centre got the opportunity to observe elements of religious practice and experience features of the mosque first-hand. They met with Shaykh Dr. Umar Al-Qadri and members of the community. Shaykh Dr. Umar spoke to the girls and answered any questions they had, about belief and practice in the Muslim faith. As part of their Religion course the students are carrying out research into the significance of prayer for the Muslim community. The visit has helped the students’ knowledge and understanding and will go a long way in helping them in their studies. Thank you to the members of the community for the warm welcome we received.
