The Bower showjumping team were in action at the finals of the Interschools’ Showjumping Competition in Mullingar on the weekend of 20 April. The event took place over two days and involved teams from all over the country. The girls – Aoife Cuffe, Maeve Cuffe, Rachel Hanley and Slaine Hynes – had their mounts beautifully turned out and were a credit to the school. Both Aoife and Slaine had clear rounds, but the team was unfortunate not to make it to the jump off. The girls finished in a very respectable seventh place, out of a total field of twenty-eight teams. Well done all. A special thanks to Mrs Cathy Cuffe, chef d’équipe of the Bower team.
