Congratulations to art teacher Oonagh Kelly whose students scooped all three prizes in the western region at the ERP Junk Kouture finals at City West Dublin on the 20th April. Top prize went to “Rejuicing is Appealing” made by Emily Henshaw, Anna Keegan and Katie Brill. Katie modelled the dress for the final, winning the glamour prize of a trip to London as well as the trophy for best in the west. The girls were immediately brought to the RTE studios for the Late, Late Show where they met Ryan Tubridy and Jonathan Ross, a guest on the show. The other top designs were “Shell Shocked” by Orla McGetrick, Emily Connell and Liadh Beirne, and “Eala Dubh” by Shauna Coffey, Megan Lynch and Aiveen Digby. An enthusiastic bunch of supporters attended the event.
