Caoimhe Mannion and Ciara MacCarthy have been offered a TYPE week in TCD in November. This is a week-long programme of events organised by the School of Physics in Trinity College Dublin in which transition year students can experience lots of different Physics-related activities. As part of the programme, the students attend introductory lectures on Physics, take part in Physics experiments in different laboratories, visit an observatory in ‘Astrophysics Day’ and learn about careers for physicists. They can also improve their computational skills and interact with students and research scientists working in Trinity College.
