Best ClassMs Windle and her TYs organised another fantastic afternoon for 1st Years, with the annual Céilí Mór taking place on March 7th. This was just one of the many events taking place in the school to celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge. The event also raised awareness of and funds for the LSU missions.

The TYs had expertly taken charge and taught the 1st Year classes a number of dances in the run up to the event. A wash of shamrocks and DSCN0270green, white and orange was seen with everyone dressing up and getting into the spirit of the event. The girls were encouraged to put their all into their dancing as the TYs were keeping a close eye throughout, in order to be able to give out some prizes.

The gym reverberated on the day as the Siege of Ennis and the Walls of Limerick was being performed. A more modern take on the traditional céilí was also enjoyed with a rendition of the Irish version of the Cha Cha Slide. There was also an opportunity to go rogue with a bit of freestyling.
