On Thursday, 19 February over sixty students involved in the school choir and orchestra enjoyed the West End production of West Side Story at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre. The girls, accompanied by music teacher Mary Hopkins and accompanist Emily Shine were delighted with their day out. Following the show three members of the cast joined them for a chat and some photos.
The school choir and orchestra perform twice yearly, at the Christmas concert and the end of year summer concert. New members are always welcome.
The school is delighted that sixth year Molly Crossen, who has been involved in the orchestra for a long time, has been invited to join the National Youth Orchestra yet again. Molly, who plays the clarinet, performed with the Army Band during Arts Week 2014 and was second at the Dublin Feis Ceoil in 2015.
