Clodagh Reilly Ad AstraCongratulations to Clodagh Reilly, who was one of nine Performing Arts scholars recently inducted into the prestigious UCD Ad Astra Academy. Principal, Mr Noel Casey was proud to attend the awards ceremony, alongside Clodagh and her family in UCD’s O’Reilly Hall on Friday, February 8th. Clodagh contributed greatly to the Performing Arts during her time in Our Lady’s Bower; as a member of the school’s orchestra and was also a member of the National Youth Orchestra. She has gained considerable recognition as a cellist and was very highly commended in Senior Cello Concerto in the ESB Dublin Feis Ceoil during her final year in school. The UCD Ad Astra Academy is an environment where students with exceptional ability, creativity and drive are motivated, challenged and inspired. Clodagh, who is currently studying Medicine, is seen by UCD to have exceptional talent and will now be afforded the opportunity to continue to train and perform at the highest level, while also completing her studies. We wish her every success, both academically and in her future musical performances.
