Congratulations to all Bower athletes who performed so well at the Connacht Finals held in the AIT on Thursday, 19 May. Star on the day was first year Ciara Greene who won the Minor 1500m, smashing the previous Connacht record by 11 seconds. Anna McGann was first in the Minor long jump, and was first in the Minor relay with Caitlin O’Brien, Ciara Greene and Martha Bowe.
The Bower also came away with some silver medals. Two of these were in the Intermediate section – Caoimhe Curran in the 300m hurdles and Kate Burke in the 3000m – while Sive Brassil was second in the Senior 1500m. Second year Maedbh Hurst won bronze in the Intermediate 1500m.
