The school marked European Day of Languages on Wednesday September 26th. The purpose of this day is to raiseIMG-20180926-WA0008 (1) awareness on the importance of language learning, to promote the rich linguistic and cultural diversity of Europe and to encourage lifelong language learning in and out of school.

TY students worked with the language departments to organise a quiz for 1st years. There was great excitement in the Central Area as teams were formed and heads were put together in the hopes of scooping some very nice prizes.

Quiz Winners1st place went to Eimear Gillen, Isobel Byrne, Jillian Begley and Ava O’Connell. The team in 2nd place were Arlene Devery, Gemma Duffy, Aishling Lennon and Jessica Collins. With 3rd place going to Mafalda Segado Patroni, Julieta Bruccoleri, Chantelle Ring and Ruth Brien.

Well done to the winning teams and to all those who organised and participated in the event. It was a really enjoyable afternoon.
