All first years gathered in the central area on Tuesday afternoon for their last event for 2016, the much anticipated Talent Show. Organised annually by the TY class this is always a great occasion for the girls to have fun together before heading home to prepare for Christmas . . . and the arrival of their first Bower report!
The show was very entertaining, as the variety of acts kept the audience on their toes. They enjoyed ballet, Irish dancing, poems, Spanish dance, trumpet and fiddle, not forgetting the many comedy sketches and some gymnastics.
The three judges had a really tough job but eventually decided on ballerina Niamh Murray as the 2016 recipient of the Charmaine Mhlauli Memorial Trophy. Other winners included gymnasts Liadh and Eimear Nic Ghiolla Phadraig, singers Sinead Talbot and Emma Harmon and the girls from the Irish Club. Well done everyone!
