Food Art Competition

We first eat with our eyes and the entries for this year’s Food Art Competition truly were a feast for the eyes. This fun competition, held by the Home Economics Department, saw students produce a variety of creative arrangements that showcased talent and also highlighted the amazing art that come from simple food ingredients. 1st prize went to Niamh Jordan’s “Woodland Creatures”. Katie Boyle’s “Frankinspider Melon” came 2nd. 3rd place went to Hannah Duffy with “Aquaryum-Shell Ya”. 1st Year Alana Cullen Walsh’s “Fruit BBQ” also received a Highly Recommended award. We’ve always been told to stop playing with our food, but keep going girls if this is the end result. Well done to all who took part.
