6th Year Art students recently travelled to Brú na Boinne – Knowth and Newgrange to get first-hand knowledge & understanding of the prehistoric site for their Art History & Appreciation course.

They received a fascinating & detailed tour of the passage tombs and gained great insight into Ireland’s ancient artistic past. The students compiled a body of sketches of the various features at the world-famous site and now have a greater awareness of and appreciation for the course content that they have been engaging with in the classroom.

Thank you to Art teachers Ms Henriques and Ms O’Shea who travelled with the girls and the site’s guides & the Office of Public Works for facilitating this beneficial and enjoyable trip.
