On Monday, 23 October, a large group of almost forty enthusiastic geography students from fifth year headed west to the Burren for the annual compulsory field study. Braving strong winds and rain all day long they visited the Ailwee cave and studied the clints and grykes of the limestone plateau near Fanore. Well done to Ms Windle and Ms Finneran who brought everyone back safely!
Meanwhile, sixth years have enjoyed a fantastic performance and workshop on set text ‘King Lear’ at the Dean Crowe Theatre while the art students visited the galleries in Dublin and attended a performance of the breathtaking film ‘Loving Vincent’ at IMC Athlone.
To help cope with the stress of sixth year, students had a wellness afternoon last week kindly provided free of charge by the students from Athlone IT.
