Congratulations to Niamh Corcoran and Anna O’Donovan from the OLB Class of 2021, who received Excellence Scholarships from the University of Galway on November 22nd. Niamh (studying Engineering) and Anna (studying Science), now in the 2nd year of their undergraduate programmes, both achieved the maximum 625 points in their Leaving Certificate.
Deputy Principal, Ms Diane Windle was proud to attend the awards ceremony and it was wonderful to see the girls being officially presented with their scholarships having had to wait an additional 12 months due to COVID restrictions.
Both students received €1,500 in recognition of their academic success and have participated in a high achiever development programme supported by the scholarship to grow leadership capacity and develop skills needed to excel in their fields of study.
