Our school had huge success at the County Finals of the Students Enterprise Awards on Tuesday 5th March, where the school picked up the prestigious ‘Most Enterprising School’ award as well as a number of other awards.
Two teams from our school competed in the country finals. ‘Mad Systemz’, a company founded by Ellie Byrne, Aoibhin Tynan and Molly McNeill Copelin, won 2nd overall in the Senior Category with their science-based card game, which aims to assist students in preparing for their Junior Cycle Science exams in a fun and interactive way. Mia Daly and Emma Boyle’s company ‘Locker Ledge’ aims to help students better organise themselves through providing easy access to all of the materials in their school lockers. Both groups were highly praised by the judges for their innovation and creativity, with ‘Mad Systemz’ picking up overall runner up, and Our Lady’s Bower being crowned ‘most enterprising school’. Well done to the girls and to their teacher, Mr Killane.
