This year’s prize-giving took place on Friday, May 28th in the new school gym. A wide range of achievements were acknowledged – sporting, literary, personal – but as usual time constraints meant that not all accomplishments could be mentioned. This year was also Sr. Denise’s last time to commend the students in her role as principal, and tributes were paid to her by the sixth years, who presented her with a specially commissioned painting of the school building that she had fought so hard to realise, and a specially made puppet in full Bower uniform – least she forget us! On behalf of the rest of the students, two representatives from the student council presented Sr Denise with a bouquet of flowers and a gift cheque.
