Congratulations to Rachel Byrne from the OLB Class of 2022, who was awarded an Excellence Scholarship from the University of Galway on November 22nd. Rachel was one of only 40 new undergraduate entrants to the University to receive this award which was based on her excellent Leaving Certificate results and her attainment of the maximum 625 points.
The University of Galway aims to support high achievers in growing their critical thinking, leadership, employability and professional skills through their scholarship programme. As a result of her high academic achievement to date, Rachel will receive €1,500 in recognition of her academic success and will join a high achiever development programme supported by the scholarship to grow her leadership capacity and to develop the skills she needs to excel in her field of study. Rachel is now pursuing a degree in Engineering and all in Our Lady’s Bower wish her continued success.
