Congratulations to 5th Year students Alex Fitzpatrick and Eva Glynn who were invited by Junk Kouture to attend this year’s Brand Licensing Europe Summit in London. The event brings business leaders together to build a better future, focusing on sustainability, diversity, equity and inclusion, spotlighting new and diverse brands and voices to drive meaningful change. This year, the event played host to a series of sessions highlighting some of the best practices from brand licensing leaders, with a special focus on the world of fashion.

Alex and Eva, Junk Kouture 2022 Grand Finalists with “Re’jenner’ate”, were one of four JK teams to be showcased at the event that centred around the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals as a catalyst for change.

Caroline Petit, Deputy Director from the United Nations Regional Information Centre, delivered a keynote speech geared to encourage positive action across the fashion industry, before welcoming Alex, Eva and the Junk Kouture team to the stage for an innovative catwalk.

The girls thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were very proud to represent the Junk Kouture competition and Our Lady’s Bower on the world stage. The competition has allowed them to grow in confidence and express their creativity. It has allowed them to use their voice for sustainability and have an impact on big business. Our Lady’s Bower is very proud of the girls’ achievement and thank Junk Kouture for affording them this wonderful opportunity.
