In the lead up to the semi-finals against St Leo’s of Carlow, the players were extremely nervous. The girls had already beaten this team earlier in the season but it had been a tough one. The semi-final match started slowly, with no points for either team until Edel Ryan scored with a free throw near the end of the first quarter. At the start of the second quarter the Bower led 9-4, and this lead continued to increase. St. Leo’s fought hard but the final score was 31-21 in favour of the Bower. Preparations are underway for the final.
