The staff of Our Lady’s Bower became students on Monday, 20 November as they received further professional training in the implementation of the new Junior Cycle.
Past pupil Lorna Hughes Lavelle was joined by associate trainer Finbar Jordan in taking management and staff through the new specifications for the revolutionary style exam which involves an element of in-house assessment.
To prepare the students for a different way of learning more active and innovative teaching methodologies will be introduced.
Fortunately, the school is well placed to cope with these new methodologies as there are Smart or Clever boards in many classrooms and three computer rooms.
