Well done to all of the students who represented Our Lady’s Bower at the Connacht Senior Schools Swimming Championships in Longford on Sunday 14th January.

All participants gave fantastic performances and achieved personal best times in their individual swims.

Our Lady’s Bower won a number of medals in the competition. The Junior Girls’ Freestyle Relay Team of Kirstin So, Lainey Browne, Jasmine Jakimovic and Muireann Kenney won 1st place overall. The Junior Girls’ Individual Medley Relay Team of Kirstin So, Jasmine Jakimovic, Lainey Browne Simon and Laoise Claffey came in 2nd place. Jasmine Jakimovic also won bronze in the Junior 100m Breaststroke. The Intermediate Girls’ Individual Medley and Freestyle Teams, of Amelie Henson, Orla O’Donoghue, Aoibhinn Tynan and Aideen Derwin came in 4th and 5th place respectively.

Well done to all of the girls who train multiple times a week at 5:30am, whilst maintaining very high academic standards in school.
