A group of students from TY were announced as prize winners in Dúshlán 2017 on Lá na Meán Sóisialta in Facebook HQ on Thursday, 16 March. The girls – Aishling Gillen, Kasey McCormack and Shauna Mannion- had to complete fifty tasks using the Irish language within fifty hours as part of this challenge organised as part of Seachtain na Gaeilge.
Under the name Tá Sé Lit, they completed a mannequin challenge, a flash mob and set up a ciorcal cainte. Once the task was completed they posted tweets as Gaeilge on their own twitter account.
Comhghairdeachas to the girls and to their mentor Ms Finneran, as this was the only Westmeath group to win a prize. A short clip of the trio winning their prize can be seen on the Conradh na Gaeilge website.
