On Friday, 8 February the Bower school bank team officially launched their Time Bank with the help of well known DJ Fergus Darcy and Lisa Conway, student liaison officer with AIB. Our Lady’s Bower has participated in the AIB Build A Bank Challenge for the last ten years and will be competing against 45 schools in the Midlands and surrounding area on February 28 for the opportunity to compete in the national final.
The school bank is open each Tuesday at lunchtime and offers internet and mobile phone banking, debit cards and savings accounts to the students. It is managed by Karen Pillion and Caitriona Clear. Caitriona Gilligan, Ciara Egan, Caoimhe O’Reilly and Gertie O’Rourke complete the management team.
