Well done to the class of 2V who were busy raising awareness, raising money and raising spirits in the run up to the Hallowe’en break. They organised a jam-packed session for fellow Second Years as part of their CSPE course. The students firstly held a break-time cake sale. They then shared information with the year group about the valuable work carried out by Temple Street Children’s Hospital & their foundation. This was followed by a fun-filled event comprising of ghastly ghost stories and jokes, all topped off with a group performance of the iconic Thriller dance.
The girls would like to thank all those who donated to this great cause. They are delighted to have raised €426 for the charity to date.
No to be out-done by the students, the staff also got in on the act with a fancy dress day on Friday October 25th. Thank you to all the students who donated so generously, all in aid of Temple Street & South Westmeath Hospice. We had witches, zombies, skeletons, serious health & safety concerns from the PE Department, a masked, hurley-wielding maniac with a Cork accent and not forgetting Banana Man. It gave the girls a giggle and got us all in the Hallowe’en spirit.
