All roads led to Dublin Airport bright and early on Sunday 4th May, as 80 TY students from Our Lady’s Bower embarked on their tour to Italy.
One day one of the trip, the girls paid a visit to Lake Garda, where they enjoyed a boat tour of the famous lake, a stroll around Garda city and some shopping.
On day two of the trip, TY students took a scenic boat journey to Venice, where they got to admire the beauty of the beauty of the Adriatic Sea, Upon arrival to Venice’s main island, the girls enjoyed a guided walking tour of the area, in which they learned about the history and culture of Venice, and visited many famous Venetian sights such as the Plazza de San Marco, St Mark’s Basilica and Venice’s renowned gondolas.
On day three of the trip, the girls enjoyed a full day at Gardaland Amusement Park, where they got to experience some thrilling rollercoasters, water slides and fantasy parks. Finally, on day four of their Italy tour, TY student made a day trip to Verona, where they explored the city and visited the famous balcony from Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’.
Many thanks for Ms Kavanagh, Ms Lowry, Ms Fallon, Mr Barrett, Ms Neylon, Ms O’Sullivan, Mr Seoige and Ms Mooney for accompanying the students on the trip. Thanks also to Deputy Principal Ms Windle for organising the trip for the TY students. It was a resounding success, enjoyed by all.
